Nature & Spain

OUR DIVERSITY IS THE NATURAL WORLD

We can boast 45 Biosphere Reserves within a surface area of 504,645 square kilometers. We share this space with more than 50,000 species of animals and delight in the 10,000 different types of plants, which together make Spain Europe’s richest country in terms of biodiversity.

Your clients can marvel at some of this diversity among the pleasant, harmonious and idyllic landscapes of the Empordà, or in the wild and well watered land of volcanoes that is the caldera of Taburiente in the Gomera; from the snowcapped Picos de Europa to the sweet little coves of Menorca; from the enormous variety of plant and animal life of the Doñana in the south to the wild cliffs of the Galician “Coast of Death” in the north; from Almeria’s arid deserts  to the green and humid forests of Gomera; from the glacial lakes of the Aigüestortes and Lake Sant Maurici National Park in the Catalonian Pyrennes to the turquoise waters of Fomentera and their sea grasses and the protected marine reserve around the Cabrera archipelago…
